The sun is setting on 2017, and we will be ringing in the new year in just a few days. As always, our community beach towns along 30A offer events and activities to celebrate! Locals and visitors to the Emerald Coast are welcome to join in the fun as we celebrate a great year and look forward to everything that awaits in 2018. From sunset celebrations to New Year’s eve dinners, bring in 2018 the 30A way.
Party like there is no tomorrow…or at least no tomorrow in 2017! You can celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Havana Beach Rooftop Lounge with discounted drinks all day. Of course, you can also join the town to watch the sunset on a wonderful year and countdown to the next one. Nothing better than a beach sunset to end your year!
New Year’s Eve Dinners
If you want to spend your New Year’s Eve in your favorite beach town, you are in luck! Many of the local restaurants along 30A are hosting New Year’s Eve dinners so you can end the year in your favorite place…the beach. Enjoy the celebrations at Redd’s Fueling Station, Edwards Find Food & Wine, Old Florida Fish House, and other restaurants along the coast.
Celebrate the first day of 2018 with friends, family, and your fellow beach bums at the annual Polar Bear Plunge! Besides the plunge, take part in the costume contest and enjoy the food, music, and bonfire. All donations for this event will go to the South Walton Fire Department Relations Committee to purchase fire and life safety items to be used for educational programs that are held in the community each year. Nothing like an ice cold plunge and a good cause to bring people together and start the new year!
Whether you like to stay out late or turn in early, there is something for everyone on 30A this New Year’s Eve. Hope to see you out there celebrating!
